I'm Michael, an englishman in lecce (salento), italy.
i'm a Learning Designer by day and bespoke shirtmaker by night.
I'm obsessed with all things shirts. not t-shirts, but dress shirts (the ones with the collars and cuffs). after years of working in the educational technology field, I find the whole end-to-end craft of designing and creating a shirt extremely rewarding and calming.
in an age of fast fashion and fast living, Salento shirts was born from my desire to share my passion for dress shirt making with others who appreciate traditional artisan craft, unique tools of the trade, fabrics and reflections on the world around them.
